A COMEDIAN who helped create hit sitcoms Not Going Out and Miranda paid a visit to Wokingham to sign copies of his latest book.
Paul Kerensa has written a series of children’s books including Planet Protectors, a guide to help people live sustainably.
Co-authoried with Ruth Valerio, Canon Theologian at Rochester Cathedral, it came out last year and is aimed at children aged seven to nine.
On publication he said: “I’ve seen my children learning more about green issues in school, except they’re no longer seeing them as green issues, but the global issues that they are.
“It’s becoming more part of our daily routines and conversations, without being a separate issue, as it was for me growing up.
“The younger generation are living and breathing these questions, everything from how we slow down climate change to how we shop better to how we look after our local parks and ponds.
“My children are teaching me – I’m the one learning.”
The book signing was organised by Quench at Holme Grange Craft Village, off Heathlands Road.
Paul set up shop in venue’s Chocolate Cafe, where he regalled audiences with cake, hilarity, books, a cuppa and storytelling.
The day was a success, with Quench reporting they sold all copies of his books bar one.
