A BOROUGH church is joining Finchampstead Parish Council to help with a big community tidy up.
Finchampstead Baptist Church members won’t have a church service to go to later this month.
Instead they will put on high visability jackets, and gloves, to help clear litter from the area.
Lead pastor Chris Simpkins at FBC, said: “I love the annual litter pick.
“We’ve been doing it for many years now, and it’s always good fun.
“We join in with what the parish council and other groups are doing to make a difference in the community.
“My kids always said it was their favourite activity on a Sunday.
“Our core value at FBC is to serve our community, and the litter pick is a great way to do that.
“It blesses the community, but it also blesses us.
“I’m really looking forward to it.”
The Big Tidy Up meets at the FBC Centre in Finchampstead, Gorse Ride North, on Sunday, March 24.
People will gather to tidy up between 9.30am and noon.
Anyone wanting to take part is advised to wear gloves, strong footwear, and suitable clothing.
There will be some hi vis clothing and litter pickers available, but people who have their own are asked to bring them along.
