The Conservative party has held a seat it contested in a by-election.
Voters in the Evendons West ward returned Tony Lack in the Wokingham town council contest, held on Friday, December 11.
It was a comfortable win – Mr Lack was 158 votes ahead of his second placed rival, the Liberal Democrat candidate.
An independent candidate came third with Labour in last place.

Keith Malvern, Liberal Democrat 232
Liz Karakurt, Independent 88
