A LOCAL choir is inviting people to make a date to come and sing with them.
Twyford Singers, which usually rehearses at URC hall in Church Street in the village on Tuesday nights, is holding a special open event on Saturday, October 5.
During the day, they will be rehearsing two famous coronation anthems by Handel: The King Shall Rejoice and Zadok the Priest.
Guests will be able to join them for the event which runs from 10am to 4.30pm.
It takes place at Christ Church in Crockhamwell Road, Woodley and costs £20 per person.
The choir also welcomes new singers to join on a permanent basis. There is no need to read music just an ability to sing in tune.
At the moment, they are looking ahead to their Christmas concert, which will be performed in St Mary’s Church in Twyford in December.
