WOKINGHAM Borough Council has announced its council and library festive opening hours.
The council offices will be completely closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day, with a reduced opening on Fridays 22 and 29.
Library opening hours will also change over the festive period.
The opening hours are for both Shute End offices and The Old Forge are as follows:
Friday, December 22: 9am – 4pm
Monday, December 25: Closed
Tuesday, December 26: Closed
Wednesday, December 27: Normal opening hours
Thursday, December 28: Normal opening hours
Friday, December 29: 9am – 4pm
Monday, January 1: Closed
Tuesday, January 2: Normal opening hours
The general out-of-hours telephone number for emergencies during the holiday period is (0800) 212 111. Social services emergencies out-of-hours telephone number is (01344) 786 543.
The telephone number for reporting out-of-hours repairs to council properties is (0800) 515 287. The calls will be managed by the council’s out-of-hours call centre and passed to the appropriate contractor. The community mental health team based at The Old Forge in Wokingham will be open as listed above, and out-of-hours the mental health urgent care service will be available on (0300) 365 0300.
All Wokingham Borough libraries will be closed on Monday December 25, Tuesday December 26 and Monday January 1.
Finchampstead Library will be closed from 12.30pm on Saturday, December 23 until Monday, January 1 inclusive and will reopen on Tuesday January 2. Maiden Erlegh Library will be closed from 5pm on Friday, December 22 to Monday, January 1 inclusive and will reopen on Tuesday, January 2.
