With the initial enabling works on the south Wokingham distributor road now under way, Wokingham Borough Council has published diagrams showing what it’ll look like when it’s finished.
You can sign up for the South Wokingham newsletter for an even closer look, which will be published next week.
Main construction works will be starting in the spring, but Wokingham Borough Council has said it is not expecting any significant disruption on the roads until mid-summer.
A spokesperson said: “We’re finalising the works programme with our partners at Balfour Beatty now, and as soon as that’s confirmed we’ll publish more detailed timescales.
“Throughout the second half of 2025, there’ll be closures and diversions at the junction of Molly Millars Lane and Finchampstead Road.”
A section of Easthampstead Road, between the Waterloo Road and Heathlands Road junctions including the level crossing, will also close for a time from the winter.
The council is also proposing to improve the junction of Peacock Lane and Waterloo Road, subject to planning permission, and this could cause disruption.
“We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause, and will be working with residents and businesses to keep this to a minimum.”
