Fire crews were called to an incident in a takeaway on Crowthorne High Street yesterday (Monday).
A spokesperson for Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue told Wokingham Today: “At 3:27pm on Monday, February 19, we received reports of a fire in a shop on Crowthorne High Street.
“Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham, Ascot and Bracknell fire stations were sent to the scene.
“Upon arrival, crews discovered a fire in a bag filled with waste.
“Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel and a fire extinguisher to put out the fire before ventilating the property.
“Crews were at the scene for approximately 45 minutes.”
