A CHARITY that supports people in the borough at times of crisis is moving to new premises.
The Cowshed Donation and Referral Centre is relocating from Reading to Wokingham.
As the group makes the transition, it asks people to hold on to their donations temporarily.
The charity’s previous site is scheduled for demolition within the next year, and the team have been searching for a new home for their donation centre.
They thank Wokingham Borough Council for the opportunity to lease one of their buildings, which they say will enable them to continue serving those in need across Berkshire.
They also express gratitude to The Clothworkers Foundation, CarComm Coachworks, and Business Moves, for supporting the transition.
The Cowshed donation centre is currently closed until Saturday, July 22 while staff manage the move.
The charity apologises for any inconvenience caused during their brief closure, and asks people not to leave any donations outside either of their two locations during the relocation.
The team says: “The move marks an exciting new chapter for The Cowshed.
“We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who has donated, supported, and believed in our charity.
“Your contributions have helped us grow, and to support even more local people who rely on our assistance.
“We have exciting initiatives planned for the future, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to our new location in Wokingham.”
Please not that the charity’s previous premises at Unit 2, Bennet Court, Reading are now closed.
The Cowshed’s new premises will open at Rubra 2, Mulberry Business Park, off Molly Millars Lane, Wokingham, on Monday July 24.
