A BOROUGH charity for seniors has announced its new centre manager.
COATS Crowthorne welcomes Melissa Keane, who will join the group at the start of September.
She will take over from Bernie Dunstone who, during the last 20 years, has built the COATS Centre into the valued community asset it is today.
Melissa and Bernie will work together for three months until Bernie retires in December.
Melissa said: “I’m excited to get to know everyone, and I thank the people I have met so far for an amazing welcome to COATS.
“I’m eager to start in this new role and to contribute to the team’s success.
“I’m looking forward to this new chapter for the COATS Centre and me, and I’d like to take this opportunity to wish Bernie well in her retirement.
“I am Irish, living in Wokingham and I’m looking forward to meeting and speaking to the lovely people of Crowthorne, so if you see me out and about, please do feel free to come say hi.”
COATS provides a place for the local senior community to meet and socialise.
It offers companionship, healthy lunches, teas, stimulating activities, entertainment and services for older people in the local community, as well as respite for their carers.
