A BERKSHIRE orchestra invites people to buy early bird tickets for their all-American summer concert.
Tickets for Crowthorne Symphony Orchestra’s (CSO) July programme of jazzy music are discounted until mid May.
The group is excited to share their evening of music, which will include: Gershwin’s Piano Concerto, Copland’s Rodeo, John Adams’s The Chairman Dances, Bernstein’s Candide, and Barber’s Adagio For Strings.
Hilly Beavan from CSO said: “This is going to be a really fun, high energy concert and we’d love to share it with as many people as we can.”
Soloist Daniel King Smith will perform Gershwin’s Piano Concerto, and the orchestra anticipates a high demand for tickets.
The group is also hosting a strings workshop in May.
Conductor Susie Henwood will take participants through the music of Grieg’s Hoberg Suite and Barber’s Adagio.
All competent string players are welcome, and don’t need to be a member of the orchestra to join the event.
The workshop will take place at St John The Baptist Church, Crowthorne, on Saturday May 17 from 2pm until 5pm.
Tickets cost £12,(tea and cake included).
