ROGER HAMILTON-SMITH picked up two bronze medals at the World Classic Powerlifting Championships.
Hamilton-Smith, from Twyford, was representing Great Britain for the third time at the event and had two fellow Brits to compete alongside in the M1 66kg category for athletes aged 40-49.
The powerlifter’s best displays came in the squat with his effort of 167.5kg enough for a bronze as was his personal best 222.5kg deadlift.
Hamilton-Smith also took part in the bench press with 107.5kg, taking his total to 497.5kg overall, his best ever tally, and fifth place.
There is now a break until the Twyford lifter hopes to earn GB selection for 2018 when he competes again in December.
