IT’S ALL change this week – well, almost – as we welcome five new entries to the playlist.

We’ve mixed things up because there is so much happening musically right now, and we didn’t want you to miss a thing.

The five are all artists that are either from Reading or Wokingham, or have visited to perform. You’ll love ‘em.

To hear this week’s selection, simply head to https://bit.ly/rawsoundstoday and enjoy the music.

There is also a Facebook page and group chat that bands and music fans can tap into. You can search for RaW Sounds Today and it will come up.

Trim – Doll House

Trim is a band based around local musician Chris Trim.

You may have seen them as they have played shows around the area including Wokingham Festival. They are now about to release their first full studio album and it’s been worth the wait.

It’s called Resolve and it’s full of well-produced quality pop/rock songs with good musicianship and powerful emotive vocal performances.

This latest single from the album is a great example so watch out for the album release on August 4 – https://www.trimmusic.co.uk/

Regent – Here We Go Again

Here’s an excellent single from these Southampton indie rockers who recently played at The Purple Turtle in Reading.

It’s an uplifting anthemic song and shows why the band are building quite a buzz – https://regentrockbandofficial.com/

Isabella Coulstock – Trouble

Wokingham Music Club (WMC) has built up a reputation for bringing legendary artists to the area but it also brings us great new artists. Isabella is certainly one of those.

A few days after a great set at WMC she was on the stage at The O2 Arena supporting The Who!

This is her debut single – https://www.isabellamusic.co.uk/

Darcey Hope – Maybe Tomorrow

Darcey is a singer-songwriter from the local area who will be supporting the excellent Ben Marwood at his Rising Sun Arts Centre Club Velocity gig in Reading on July 28.

This is her new single and it is a beautiful song and shows what a wonderful songwriter and performer she is – https://darceyhope.com/

Gemma Rogers – New World Order

Gemma has become a favourite in the area following her visits to perform brilliant shows for Club Velocity so when I gave this new single (out this week) a listen and heard how good it was, it had to be included.

It’s a wonderful summer pop song and it has a social conscience too – https://linktr.ee/gemmarogersmusic

The Go Go Cult – A Town Called Sorrow

This Reading-based band always put on a good live performance and they certainly did that recently when they supported Ghost Dance at the Face Bar – http://www.thegogocult.com/

Third Lung – It’s a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock ‘N ’Roll)

Third Lung release their first single since signing to the legendary Marquee Records label and it’s a brilliant cover of an AC/DC classic. They will be playing live at Brewdog in Reading on September 16 with support from Louis and the Shakes and Who Ate All The Crayons so put that date in the calendar. Sounds like a great night – http://thirdlungband.com/

Adomania – At The Party

Madeleine, from the band, will be opening the Wokingham Music Club Stage at Wokingham Festival in August with an Adomania solo set.

This is the radio edit of their last single – https://www.facebook.com/AdomaniaBand

Heathen Apostles – Gothic Western Haunt

Get down to Reading Face Bar this Friday, July 21 for LA-based Gothic Americana – https://heathenapostles.com/

Michael Burns-Peake – 23

A great new single from the local singer-songwriter who opens Wokingham Festival’s Main Stage in August – https://www.facebook.com/MichaelBPMusic
