RESIDENTS thinking of renting an allotment plot are invited to visit a Wokingham growing site during their open afternoon.

As part of National Allotments Week, Wokingham Town Council is allowing public entry to Ifould Crescent allotments on an August Saturday afternoon.

Visitors will be able to take guided tours of the site and visit plots.

The Town Council says that this is a good opportunity to find out more, speak to allotment holders, and to see what is being successfully grown.

Beekeeper Paul Jarvis will also give a 20 minute talk about his beehives.

Refreshments are available, with proceeds from teas and coffees going to the Town Council mayor’s chosen charity, Kaleidoscopic UK.
