Wokingham Borough Council is making travel easier for bus users this Christmas.
The council will offer free weekend bus rides this festive season.
Single fares will be free of charge for all local bus journeys starting in Wokingham – on the weekends before Christmas.
The offer applies to destinations outside the borough but passengers may need to pay for a return journey.
The service coincides with Christmas events including the Wokingham Winter Carnival on Sunday, November 30, and the Woodley Christmas Extravaganza during the weekend of December 6 and 7.
The scheme is government-funded through the Bus Service Improvement Plan, and similar offers apply in neighbouring boroughs.
Park-and-rides and shuttle buses are not, however, included.
The offer applies on Sunday, November 30, and the weekends of December 6 and 7; December 13 and 14; and December 20 and 21.
