EVERSLEY & California earned their first league win of the season with an emphatic 4-0 victory against Bagshot.
Conditions at Fox Lane were Perfect with an immaculate pitch as the sides contested a local derby with the return of Phil Ruggles the Bagshot manager, who was a favourite during his time at Eversley.
Eversley started the game very well as they had in their previous league games. Their side showing two changes from last week with the inclusion of Ian Brookes and Jimmy Harvey in midfield.

Gabra Wendling caused Bagshot problems down the right with dome smart wing play. In the 17th minute Bagshot’s Nathan Gillet broke clear and brought a great one-handed save from Vaughan, low to his right.
The 28th Minute saw Eversley’s first “Sin Bin” of the season, given to George Marsh after some pointless back chat. Down to 10 men Eversley re-jigged their back four, moving Ali Dickie Into the back four and Harvey into the middle, narrowing the formation.
Bagshot poured forward with the numerical advantage and created several good chances.

Marsh restored as the game took a twist with Eversley now in the ascendency. The lively Ross McKernan brings a great save from Allen low to his right,
Eversley broke the deadlock to score their first league goal in the 46th minute as a
corner from the right from Chris Robson, cut low to the edge of the box, was struck into the top left hand corner through the crowded penalty area by Ali Dickie.

The second half saw Eversley forced to make two changes off went Brookes and Wendling and on came Callum Collins and Charlie Scope.
With Eversley now on the front foot, Scope and Collins caused Bagshot problems
down both flanks. Scope out passed his marker and was felled in the box, resulting in a penalty for Eversley.
Ross McKernan stepped up but his tame effort was easily saved by Allen.
Scope again got the better of his full back and attacked the goal line, passing the ball
to the far post where Callum Collins had the easy task from six yards to make it 2-0.

Scope again in on the right crossed low for McKernan to side foot home to put the result beyond doubt at 3-0.
Eversley took advantage after a Bagshot sin-bin to make it four as Scope cut in from the right and finished low across the keeper into the far corner.
