Reading FC supporters have sent in messages of support and sympathy after former player Andy Rinomhota received some tragic news.
Rinomhota posted on social media that his brother Joseph Itai Rinomhota, 30, had passed away after receiving a kick to the ribs in a Muay Thai boxing match.
The former Royals midfielder said: “No words or pictures are going to be enough to show or express the love I have and will always have for you my brother.
“Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Rest in peace Joe.
“I’m hoping this will help to heal the pain even if only slightly.
“”You lived life to the fullest and I know you’d have no regrets even now.
“As a brother they don’t come better than you, caring, kind, supportive, the list is endless, you always looked after me in every way possible and I should’ve told you more just how much that meant to me.
“I know you’ll continue to watch over me and provide me with the strength and love you always have.”
Reading Football Club said: “The thoughts of everyone at Reading Football Club are with your and your family, Andy.”
Rinomhota made 139 appearances for the Reading first-team having been brought to the club from AFC Portchester in 2014.
The Zimbabwe international currently plays for Championship side Cardiff City.
