TRAINS between Reading and Wokingham have been cancelled after a fire has broken out next to the tracks.
Services are expected to be cancelled or delayed until 1pm.
In a statement on its website, South Western Railway said: “We have been informed a fire next to the track between Reading and Wokingham. This means that all lines are blocked between these stations.”
All services between London Waterloo and Reading will now start or end their journey at Bracknell.
Passengers can use Elizabeth Line services to get to Paddington and then change to use Underground routes to get to Waterloo.
Rail tickets will also be valid on Reading Buses 3 (Leopard) and 4 (Lion) routes.
The statement adds: “For further information or onward travel advice please speak to a member of staff or use a station help point.
“We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey.”
