A BURNING smell reported in Finchampstead this morning remains a mystery.
The alarm was raised by Thames Valley Police at approximately 7.20am, who reported a strong smell in Nine Mile Ride, to which Wokingham Fire Station answered the call.
Details, however, were limited, and with no exact location given to the crew, finding the incident proved difficult.
A fire engine spent some 20 minutes searching the carriage way, which runs between Bracknell and Wokingham, before standing down.
- – A CHARITY Car Wash will be held at Wokingham Fire Station in Easthampstead Road this Saturday (March 5), between 10am and 5pm.
