A FIVE-month-old baby had to be rescued from the inside of a locked car in Crowthorne earlier this afternoon.
Crews from Wokingham Fire Station were called to the scene at around 1.30pm by the child’s frantic mother who had accidentally locked the keys inside the car.
The crew managed to gain access through the back of the car and reunited the little girl with her mother.
Watch Manager Lewis said: “There is a lesson to be learned here, especially for those with these self-locking cars. Always take your keys with you, even if you’re just popping out to fill up with petrol, because the car will lock.
“This story ended well, everybody was happy, but the mother was very angry at herself for what she had done.”
