A GARDEN centre in Wokingham is preparing to celebrate its anniversary with plenty of cake.
Squire’s opened on Heathlands Road five years ago, and to mark the occasion the firm’s chairman emeritus, Colin Squire, will host a garden party to remember, complete with an afternoon tea.
He will be joined by the firm’s current chair, Sarah Squire, for the event on Tuesday, July 23.
Starting at 3.30pm, the event will include music from harpist Cecily Beer, a glass of fizz, and plenty of scones, tea, and petit fours.
A raffle will raise funds for CLASP Wokingham, the Wokingham branch’s charity of the year.
Ms Squire said: “My father and I are very much looking forward celebrating this very special milestone at Wokingham.
“We aim to be at the heart the communities we serve and our family and our colleagues are particularly delighted to be able to share these celebrations with our customers.
“The Anniversary Tea Party event will be a wonderful way to mark the occasion with the people who matter most to us.”
Tickets cost £20.
