HEAVY rainfall overnight and this morning has caused flash flooding across Berkshire.
Problems on the roads across the borough as well as in Reading and Caversham have been reported since around 7.20am on Tuesday, September 24.
Cow Lane Bridge has been blocked from both directions due to flooding, with traffic grinding to a halt in Portman Road.
Loddon Bridge Road is also reported to be flooded.
A car broke down at approximately 9am this morning at Cemetry Junction, Reading.
Courtney Bus services and Reading Buses are facing delays due to the weather.
Trains on the GWR are running at a reduced speed between Basingstoke and Reading.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Tuesday, September 24. Around 20 to 40mm is set to fall around the area and some places can expect up to nearly 3 inches.
The Met Office says the heavy rain will fall in a “relatively short space of time”, less than six hours.
