This year’s World Book Day takes place on Thursday, March 6, celebrating authors, illustrators and the joy that reading brings.
It provides us with an opportunity to focus on reading for pleasure and giving children freedom of choice in what they read.
Wokingham Borough Council will be holding special storytime sessions to celebrate World Book Day, and the 45th anniversary of Peace at Last by Jill Murphy, a funny story about a bear who was unable to fall asleep.
Sessions will be held at:
-
Lower Earley library, Thursday 6 March, 4pm to 4.30pm
-
Woodley library, Monday 24 March, 10am to 10.30am
Registration is not required and it is free to attend. Bring along a teddy and wear your comfy clothes.
