ASCOT UNITED climbed up the table with an impressive away display with goals on the road against Metropolitan Police.

The Yellas made the quickest start when they netted after 16 seconds when Taylor Morgan set up Brendan Matthew to score.

The hosts got back on terms in the 16th minute before Ascot marched into a commanding lead before the break with another goal from Matthew and then a third from Morgan.

Ascot added a fourth quickly after the restart through Harry Grant before the Met grabbed a goal back to make it 4-2.

The Yellas scored the final goal of the game to seal a 5-2 success when Morgan found his second of the afternoon.

READING CITY missed out on the chance to push up the table with a goalless draw away to Wembley.

The Cityzens had the opportunity to take the three points, but missed from the penalty spot in the first-half when Eddie Lee sent his shot off target.

The hosts managed to keep Reading at bay with a mixture of strong defending and impressive saves as the game finished without a goal.

The result means City are in 12th spot on 21 points from 13 games.

 

WOKINGHAM & EMMBROOK were on the end of a heavy defeat on their trip to table toppers Rayners Lane.

Just one goal behind at the break, the Sumas conceded four more in the second-half without reply.

The Sumas are 15th on 15 points from 17 games.

Combined Counties Division One

YATELEY UNITED moved into second place with a narrow victory over British Airways.

The only goal of the game went Yateley’s way to secure the points when Charlie Westell scored early in the second-half to put them onto 42 points from 21 games.

 

EVERSLEY & CALIFORNIA picked up three points on the road against Brook House.

The Boars scored three times without reply with a brace from Paras Gill and a goal from Harvey Valter.

Thames Valley Premier League

READING CITY U23s closed the gap on READING YMCA with a win in a five-goal contest.

The Cityzens took the points with a 3-2 triumph.

 

WARGRAVE moved up to seventh place with a convincing home win over Maidenhead Town with a 5-0 victory.

 

BURGHFIELD pushed themselves up to fourth place with a hard fought win over bottom of the table AFC Winkfield.

The Fielders were made to work to win three points as a double from Chris Smalley-Ward and goals from Adam Telford and Edward Thomas saw them run out as 5-3 winners.
