FA Women’s Cup
WOODLEY UNITED put on a strong display despite being beaten against a side two league’s above them, Oxford United.
With a crowd of more than 400 who turned out to the Bulmershe Pavilion to watch the cup tie, Oxford eventually broke the deadlock after a resiliant start from Woodley after 30 minutes.
The visitors added to their lead before the break and scored twice more in the second-half to seal the tie.
Woodley manager Marc Surtees said: “Proud of every single player today (Sunday). We had a plan and they stuck to it, every single player gave everything for the whole game against a very good Oxford United team. I couldn’t have asked for more from them, we now build on this.”

ASCOT UNITED kept their unbeaten streak going as they picked up their sixth win in seven league matches to stay at the summit.
The Yellas won on the road at Winchester City Flyers to ensure they remain at the top of the table and five points ahead of closest challengers, Bournemouth Sports.
The only goal of the game was scored by Laura Spark to pick up a 1-0 victory.
Third placed WOODLEY UNITED now have a game in hand after they were in FA Cup action. They are six points off Ascot having played one game fewer.
Southern Region Women’s Division One North
ASCOT UNITED RESERVES collected a 4-2 win at Abingdon United Development to claim their third win in seven matches.
The Yellas are in eighth place on 10 points from their opening seven games.
Thames Valley Women’s Division One
TILEHURST PANTHERS added another three points to their total to keep the pace with SLough Town at the top of the table.
The Panthers made it seven wins from seven to continue their exceptional league form with a convincing win over Banbury United.
Deanna Cane had her shooting boots on and scored three times in the second-half, while a Georgia Hayes double and a Leah Why goal contributed to the 6-1 victory.
ASHRIDGE PARK took three points in their contest with WARGRAVE.
In a tightly contested match, Laura Comerford netted the only goal of the game to see Ashirdge win their third match in six games.
Ashridge are in eighth on 10 points, but with plenty of games in hand on the teams above them, while Wargrave are in seventh on 12 points from nine games.
Thames Valley Women’s Division Two
S4K LADIES find themselves at the bottom of the table after they were defeated at home by Oxford City.
A Megan Cox brace and a goal from Samantha Tan goal wasn’t enough as the Fakwes went down 5-3.
They are on two points from their opening seven games.
SANDHURST WOLVES lost out 3-1 on their trip to Kingsclere which leaves them in eighth spot on four points from five matches.
Thames Valley Women’s Division 3S
FINCHAMPSTEAD stay on top after they maintained their perfect record in the league.
They produced a stunning six-goal performance to thrash Ruislip Rangers 2s.
There were doubles from both Chloe Bagshaw and Lauren Smaje, while goals from Alice Cox and Lauren Turnbull added to the 6-0 victory.
Finch are on top of the table with maximum points from their first seven games.
YATELEY UNITED maintain their unbeaten run after they picked up an away point at Brook House.
Goals from Georgia Harris and Melisa Todd-Gul helped them to a 2-2 draw.
Yateley are in second position on 20 points from eight games.
WARGRAVE RESERVES took their second win of the league campaign with a 2-0 away win at AFC READING.
Hannnah Brooks scored a goal in each half to see Wargrave over the line.
Wargrave are in eighth on six points from nine games, while Reading are in ninth on four points from seven matches.

WOKINGHAM & EMMBROOK climbed into third spot with an outstanding away win at Wycombe Saints.
The Sumas smacked eight past their opponents without reply to earn a huge win.
Genevieve Richard was the star of the game as she scored a hat-trick, while a double from Sophie White and goals from Megan Bartlett, Lauren Evans and Rebecca Greig saw the Sumas complete a magnificent 8-0 win.
BERKS COUNTY are in second position after they won 3-2 at Stanford-in-The-Vale.
Kiana Proietti, Leanne Harkins and Kiah Owen were on the scoresheet to help the Swords earn three points.
BURGHFIELD RESERVES collected three points with their fourth win in nine games with a 2-1 away victory at Goring United Reserves.
