Wokingham borough council sold a site it owns in Wokingham to a nursery provider.
The former Westmead Day Centre on Rances Lane has being sold after councillors agreed to sell the site in September, following a detailed review. Aymia Properties Ltd (Inspire Nurseries) will be the new owners.
The council has ’agreed to sell the site in a multi-million pound deal and this will be reinvested into vital public services like care for adults and children including support for older people, disabled adults and children with special educational needs.
Westmead was previously used for the Physical Disabilities day dervice we run with its partners Optalis, but last year the service moved to a new, more accessible home in Matthewsgreen community centre.
