Former Reading FC midfielder Tryese Fornah will play against the Royals next season after signing for League One Northampton Town.
The 25-year-old spent six years in the Royals academy from 2012-2018 before moving to Brighton and then Nottingham Forest.
He returned to Reading on a season-long loan in the 2022/23 campaign from Nottingham Forest.
Fornah made 35 Championship appearances and netted two goals as the Royals were relegated from the Championship under Paul Ince before Noel Hunt took over for the final few games of the season.
After his loan spell in Berkshire, Fornah joined Derby County in 2023.
After making 20 league appearances for the Rams, he spent last season on loan at Salford City where he played 40 times in League Two.
He now joins Northampton as a free agent. The Cobblers finished in 19th position in League One in the 2024/25 campaign.
