Wokingham town council is set to hold its next museum open day event on Monday (August 5).
The free event, which will take place in the town hall from 10am until 2pm, will be inspired by the Olympic games.
The council has been counting down the days to the installation of the Olympic Phryge (pronounced ‘FREE-jes’) mascot in Market Place, which took place on Thursday.
The latest museum open day will offer attendees the opportunity to join in the Olympic festivities, and create a hat of their own.
A spokesperson for Wokingham town council said: “Why not bring the kids to come and see the hats we have, and try some on too.
“Everything needed to make the hats will be set out, including instruction sheets and materials.
“These activities are self-led and children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.”
