The Reading Half Marathon returned for its 41st edition this year with thousands of runners flocking to the town on Sunday to compete in the event.
Hometown hero Naomi Mitchell was the first female to cross the finishing line after completing the route which finishes inside the home of Reading Football Club at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.

Mitchell was met with rapturous applause from the attending supporters inside the stadium as the Reading Athletics Club athlete clocked in with a time of 72 minutes, 12 seconds.
Second place was Rebecca Murray who completed the course in one hour, 12 minutes, 39 seconds, while Emma Styles claimed the bronze spot with one hour, 15 minutes, 33 seconds.
The first male finisher was Ollie Lockley from Leeds City Athletics Club.
He finished the race in 64 minutes, 35 seconds. He was followed by Alex Lawrence who recorded 64 minutes, 53 seconds and third place Benjamin Alcock who posted 65 minutes, eight seconds.
