The Emmbrook School has said that it is ‘proud’ to celebrate their outstanding GCSE results.
The school says that their results this year mark a ‘significant milestone’ in their journey of continuous improvement.
For the first time in the school’s history, students have achieved an average grade 5 across all subjects. This year’s results show improvement across every headline measure, continuing the upward trajectory we have seen over the past two years.
Performance in core subjects with English, Maths, and Science all seeing substantial increases in top grades (9–7), strong passes (9–5), and standard passes (9–4). Notably, one in five students secured a grade 7 or higher in both English and Maths, and strong passes in these subjects rose by over 5% compared to last year.
Beyond the core curriculum, students excelled across a wide range of subjects, with particularly impressive outcomes in Computer Science, Classical Civilisation, French, and Music. These results highlight the breadth of talent and enthusiasm across our student body.
Nick McSweeney, Headteacher, commented: “I am truly delighted that this amazing cohort of young people has performed so well. As I have told these students regularly in assemblies, they are a true credit to The Emmbrook School.
“They have grown into truly remarkable individuals; kind, hardworking, and committed. It is therefore particularly pleasing to see their hard work pay off.
“These strong results continue the pattern of significant improvement at The Emmbrook School since our important decision to join The Circle Trust. This includes rising numbers, better outcomes, and happier students.
“These impressive results, alongside the strong A-levels last week, show that we continue to improve as a school by setting new performance highs year on year. Given the strength of these results, we expect a record number of students to join our Sixth Form in September.”
Dee Taylor, Head of Year 11, added: “It has been a privilege to support this cohort throughout their journey. Watching them grow, overcome challenges, and now celebrate such well-earned success has been incredibly rewarding.
“These results reflect not only academic achievement but also the strength of character and community spirit that defines The Emmbrook School. I am confident that whatever path they choose next, they will continue to thrive—and I look forward to hearing about their future successes.”
