Officers from Thames Valley Police were thanked by a member of the public after a patrol vehicle was spotted helping a large flock of geese cross the road.
The incident, which happened near Longshot Lane in Bracknell last week, saw the vehicle hold traffic to allow the birds to safely cross,
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police told Wokingham Today that there was no official log of the incident, and it was likely the officers would have just come across the incident.
The spokesperson said: “It appears that officers on patrol came across the gaggle of geese, and temporarily stopped traffic to allow our feathered friends to cross the road safely.
“If any patrolling officers came across a road hazard, we would look to ensure the public are safe, and in this case the wildlife too..
