Wokingham saw a historic result as Liberal Democrat candidate Clive Jones was elected as the town’s new MP.
It is the first time ever that the Conservatives have not won the seat – having held it since 1885.
John Redwood had been Wokingham’s MP since 1987 before he decided not to run in this election.
Jones won 25,743 of the vote which saw him become Wokingham’s first ever Liberal Democrat MP.
The turnout in Wokingham constituency was 72.19%, which is down on 73.8% in the 2019 General Election.
Redwood won the seat in 2019 with a 49.6% share of the votes with 30,734.
