REGISTRATION is open for a Wokingham event that gives participants an opportunity to enjoy the town’s nearby countryside areas, while raising money for charity.
Organised by Wokingham Lions Club, the Wokingham Walk offers routes in and around Wokingham for families and serious walkers alike to enjoy in their own time.
Participants can walk just for fun or can use the event as an opportunity to raise funds for a good cause of their choice.
There are three routes of different lengths to choose from: five miles,10 miles, and 15 miles long, and all start and finish in Elms Field.
Registration and rolling start time on the day is from 9am until 10.30am.
Faster pre-registered walkers can begin from 8.30am, and the finish will be manned until 5pm so that people don’t have to rush.
Registration costs £15 for adults, £5 for under 18s, and is free for under 12s.
Town centre car parks will be open on the day (be aware that Wokingham Borough Council Sunday Parking Charges apply.)
