A Wokingham brewery celebrated eight years of trading with a festival of beer.
Bond Brews Ltd, on Heathlands Road, served a range of its best beers at the event, including a new one created specially for the anniversary.
Dean Bond from Bond Brews said: “The day went really well.
’It was tiring, but lovely, and the weather this year was wonderful, we’ve been very lucky.
“We’ve been holding an annual beer festival since our third year.
“It has developed over time, and it’s a great way to say thank you to our customers.
A programme of live music organised by Graham Steel Music Company included 11 local acts.
Marc Woosnam Band, Naked Without It, Alexander Low, Sophie Al-Noah, and Stem all performed.
And Michael Tuffer, Abi Powel, Matt Keddie,Veronica Drozdowski, Aces Music, and Martin Wood completed the line up.
“We served seven Bond beers, including a new festival special, Coconut Mild,” said Mr Bond.
A local cider, pimms, prosecco and soft drinks were also available, along with steak and ale pies made by friends of Bond Brews, Rural Pie.
“We’re delighted that Rural Pie recently won a bronze award at the British Pie Awards in Melton Mowbray,” said Mr Bond.
Around 120 people attended the event, with contributions to a bucket collection on the day raising £200 for Prostate Cancer UK.
“My dad passed away two years ago from the disease,” said Mr Bond, “so I was really pleased to have raised the amount during the afternoon.
“Another nice thing was meeting 10 ex-colleagues who came along to the festival.
“It’s 14 years since I worked with them at Alchemetrics Ltd, in Wokingham, and I hadn’t seen them since then.
“It was an extra bonus.”
