Campaigners supporting a banking hub facility in Woodley are urging people to support a petition, with an event in the town centre this Saturday.
A spokesperson told Wokingham Today: “We are setting up a gazebo in Woodley shopping centre on Saturday between 11am and 2pm.
“A petition. which has already achieved hundreds of signatures, will be available to sign.”
The organisers are asking for more people to sign to support a banking hub facility in Woodley shopping centre .
Link who provides the facilities have refused it once because there is a Nationwide and a Post Office in the town .
The spokesperson added: “The Post Office is already extremely busy within queues, and has staffing issues, and with Nationwide you cannot go in and do banking for other banks .“We have asked local MPS and councillors to give their support.”
