A BOROUGH leisure group is launching a new course to help women understand the menopause, and the role physical activity can play in helping to manage symptoms.
Move Through Menopause is offered by Places Leisure.
The twelve week long course gives women an opportunity to open up topics for group discussion, including: symptom management, hormones and HRT, myth busting, menopause and mental health, and nutrition.
Participants will also be guided through activities on offer at the leisure centre.
The course, for members and non-members includes 12 sessions, each 90 minutes long, and a complimentary 12 week premium membership valued at £225.
This gives access to gym, swim, and classes, at all Places Leisure sites within Wokingham.
Sessions are being held at two participating Places Leisure centres:
At Wokingham Leisure Centre, sessions begin on Tuesday, April 16, from 7pm until 8.30pm.
At Loddon Valley Leisure Centre the course starts on Thursday, May 9, at 7.15pm until 8.45pm.
The cost is £40 for leisure centre members, and £90 for non-members.
