Over the weekend, nearly 40 children from the Hong Kong Community in the borough town, went out with litter pickers and collection bags.
All members of the Trinity Church Community Sunday School, the children’s aim was to make their streets tidy and free from litter.
Ten year old Elim said, “Our environment is so important and we wanted to do our bit, alongside the many hundreds of residents who help to pick litter in our community. We also had great fun and I would like to do this again.” Her Friends Natalie and Mia added, “We were amazed at what a difference it made. We collected over eight full bags of litter! We will now be even more careful to make sure that we always take our litter home with us, or put it in the public litter bins.”

Organiser Mandy Lau thanked the children, as well as Earley Town Council and Earley Adopt A Street (EASI) for providing the necessary equipment.
“I was so proud of our children and what they achieved,” she said.
