A FESTIVAL celebrating craft beer and music returned to Reading last week, showcasing a range of beers and other offerings from breweries near and far.
Craft Theory, presented by The Grumpy Goat and South Street Arts Centre, returned to the venue, bringing with it signature selections and sessionable snifters alongside street food and music.
Phantom Brewing, Double-Barrelled Brewery, Siren Craft Brew, Elusive Brewing, and Dolphin Brewing were among those close to home with ranges on sale.
They were joined by Twyford’s Stanlake Park Estate, who provided a range of English wines, Thatcham’s Delphic Brewing Co., State of Kind from Wigan, Crossover Blendery from Hitchin, and Dundee’s Holy Goat Brewing.
Sarv’s Slice provided Neopolitan-style pizza and Clays Kitchen was on hand with their own selection of Indian street food.
Richard Bartle-Man, Retail Manager at Stanlake Park Wine Estate, said: “Craft Theory always has an awesome vibe; there’s DJs, street food, beer, and wine, all day long– what’s not to enjoy?
“Many of the breweries know each other and often collaborate, including stocking our wines, and we love supporting each other.”
He says that Stanlake Park took something of a risk being the only wine producer at the event, but they were “well received by both attendees and breweries.
“Collaboration is important and being able to have different offerings makes the event open to a much wider audience.”
