A POPULAR chocolate in Hurst that was opened by a former prime minister has been granted retrospective planning permission which allows it to become a retail shop.
Chocolates for Chocoholics is based at Lea Farm, off Lodge Road, and had applied to Wokingham Borough Council for approval with regards to one of its buildings being used to sell its confectionery, rather than just store it.
Planning officers have given this nod, but the condition is that only chocolate and chocolate-related goods may be sold from the premises.
Maidenhead MP Theresa May opened the store in October last year.
The application can be seen on Wokingham Borough Council’s planning website, reference 232180.
