Why not come on a free private tour of Tate Modern?
Ian Swankie will take members of The Arts Society Wokingham and guests on a virtual tour of the famous Blavatnik Building, which set the new gold standard for museum design when it opened in 2016.
This illustrated talk looks at the sleek new architecture and then follows the highlights of the collection, from Monet to Bacon and on to recent international works.
Ian is one the Society’s most popular lecturers.
He is a Londoner with a passion for art and architecture and an official guide at Tate Modern, Tate Britain, Guildhall Art Gallery and St Paul’s Cathedral.
Everyone is welcome to come along to King’s Academy, Binfield on Monday, July 24, at 7.30pm.

This talk rounds off an excellent season of monthly lectures.
We have another season of fascinating arts-related talks planned, starting in September.
These include: the life and work of the American artist, Georgia O’Keefe, the post-war politics of Ealing studios and an armchair tour of Wren’s City Churches and much more.
