ROGER HERRIDGE believes Binfield’s performances have been better than recent results suggest.
The Moles were edged out 2-1 at Hellenic Premier Division leaders Brackley Town Saints last week and followed that up with a thrilling 3-3 draw at Brimscombe and Thrupp on Saturday, where they were denied victory in the 88th minute.

That leaves Binfield down in 13th, but they have played fewer matches than almost every other side in the division with as many as six games in hand on five of the teams above them.
And while Herridge is disappointed with the points return, he has been pleased with how his side have fared against some of the league’s in-form sides.
“I felt it was a pivotal week in terms of what our aspirations might be,” the Moles manager told The Wokingham Paper.
“It ended with a point at Brimscombe and I thought we deserved to win.
“We’ll certainly be disappointed that we didn’t come away with all three points because we’ve gone away from home against one of the sides that’s definitely going to be up there and you score three goals and you’ve not won the game.
“You shouldn’t have to score four goals to get three points so we’ll be disappointed with that but our performance was really good. We played really well.”
He added: “It was important that we got something from that game, I’ve got to be honest, after the defeat away at Brackley.
“No disgrace losing there, they’re obviously going very, very well.
“It was always going to be a tough trip midweek but I have to hold my hands up and say they probably shaded it and deserved to win. But if we’d kept 11 players on the pitch then we’d have come away with something from that game too.
“That (sending Liam Gavin off) was, in my opinion, a poor decision from the referee that ultimately cost us a result there. But it certainly wasn’t a bad performance.
“It was important that we bounced back a little bit against Brimscombe.
“I was targeting four points out of six from those two games and we’ve got one out of six.
“But I saw enough from us in those games for me to think if we put a run together some time soon, which we are very capable of doing, we can still have a big say in what happens come the end of the season.”
Binfield are back in league action on Saturday when they host fourth-placed Royal Wootton Bassett Town at Hill Farm Lane (3pm).
But the Moles then face a 13-day gap before their next fixture, something which has irked Herridge.
“It’s ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous,” he said.
“One minute I’ve looked and we’ve got a game on November 17 and the next thing I’ve looked and we haven’t got a game. It’s crazy.
“That situation is just ridiculous because before you know it we’ll get into December, the weather will turn and we’ll get games called off so that’s a bit frustrating.
“We need to be playing two games a week. We need to get some momentum.
“Come the end of April we would’ve all played the same amount of games, it’s just at the minute there are some teams we’re five or six games behind.
“We’re playing a little bit of catch-up.”
One of those teams who have played six more than Binfield are Saturday’s opponents Wootton Bassett.
Their form has been mixed in recent weeks but they possess a strike duo with 10 goals apiece and both are well known to Herridge in former Bracknell Town talisman TJ Bohane and ex-Mole Brad Pagliaroli, who left Binfield in the summer.
“Any team with TJ in the side is going to cause you a few problems,” said Herridge.
“Brad has gone there and done really, really well. He’s had the opportunity to play centrally, which is what he wanted to do. We know what Brad’s all about.
“They’re quite high up the league but they’ve played a lot of games.
“I think what we know about them is they can certainly hurt you at one end of the pitch but I think they’re a little bit susceptible to concede goals at the other.
“We’re at home, it’s a game we need to win.
“We need to be picking up three points. It’s an important game for us.”
