Seven parcels of land in Spencers Wood have been sold at an online auction this afternoon for just £50.
The lot, offered for sale by Auction House South Yorkshire, received just a single bid.
The catalogue described the lot as “comprising separate freehold title interests to various land areas or roadway interests (subject to rights of way) in various popular locations.”
The addresses were listed as land at and adjoining Hill View in Spencers Wood, and
land lying to the west of Basingstoke Road, also in Spencers Wood.
Buyers were advised that if any part of the freehold roadway title interests had been adopted by local councils, these will be maintained and repaired at public expense and not the new owner of the freehold titles.
“Each buyer shall rely solely on obtaining its own advice, and any prior necessary consents/permissions for any alternative change of use the buyer proposes, and the buyer agrees to accept the land as it stands in all respects on completion.”
The previous owner of the plots is understood to be property developer Westbuild, who has engaged in similar sales of land and roads in Wokingham.
