The opportunity to comment on the legality of Wokingham Borough Council’s Local Plan will end at 5pm today (Wednesday).
The final draft of the new Local Plan sets out how the borough should grow to 2040.
It will be submitted to the government for examination by a planning inspector later this year.
The plan and its policies will guide all forms of development, including the type and location of housing that the council considers to be appropriate, as well as transport, green spaces, community facilities and more.
The current Local Plan covers the period to 2026, and a new one is needed to best defend the borough from speculative and less suitable development proposals.
Wokingham Borough Council has been seeking views on the legal compliance and “soundness” of its draft submission plan, as defined by national planning policy.
Details such as proposed housing sites have already been extensively consulted on, with feedback shaping the submission proposals where possible.
