FIRMS on a Wokingham business centre are on the fast track to online success.
And the company behind the new fibre link says it gives businesses five times the speed at half the price of other options.
It follows a partnership between BtL Communication and digital infrastructure provider, CityFibre.
A total of 13 firms on the Molly Millars Business Park have already connected with the new full-fibre service and more are set to follow.
It means they can utilise services such as hosted VoIP and cloud computing.
Luke England, Sales Director for BtL, said: “We targeted the business parks in Molly Millars because we knew how badly neglected the area had been by other carriers. The cost gap between the full-fibre services the businesses needed and inadequate ADSL was too big for most to make the switch.
“Our partnership with CityFibre was about providing affordable best of breed connectivity en masse and nowhere highlights this better than the 4km dig to Wokingham.”
Rob Hamlin, Commercial Director at CityFibre, stated: “With their expert knowledge of the region and its businesses, BtL has made this project possible.
We are confident that the network and BtL’s next generation services, will bring tremendous benefits to firms at Molly Millars and throughout Wokingham that need ultra-fast broadband.”
Robert Lamden, BtL’s Managing Director added: “Big Congratulations to Jack Chappell, Account Manager at BtL for championing this project on behalf of BtL. He literally walked the streets of the Molly Millars Business Park signing up the required 20 customers that we needed to make the project viable.”
