Bohunt School in Arborfield is keen to encourage a wide range of sports, with Girls’ Rugby being the latest focus of attention.
In order to give this a boost, Reading Rugby Foundation funded a set of training kit, including balls, bibs, tackle shields and bags.
Reading Rugby Foundation Trustee Stuart Spindler recently presented the new kit to the Bohunt School’s sports leaders, Philippa McKinnon and Matt Hulland.
Philippa said: ‘We already have some enthusiastic girls playing rugby, but this brilliant new kit will enable us to expand the training sessions and encourage new players to get stuck in!’
Matt added: ‘Funding is always a challenge, so we are delighted that Reading Rugby Foundation offered us this generous donation, which enabled us to purchase the full package of training equipment that we aspired to.’
Bohunt Wokingham is a mixed 11-16 school of up to 1200 students, with a final phase addition of a sixth form to follow. The school is part of Bohunt Education Trust.
Reading Rugby Foundation’s mission is to promote community participation in Rugby Football throughout Reading and the surrounding area. It is a grant-making charity which provides financial support to schools, sports development bodies and charitable organisations.
