National Rail have confirmed that major disruptions are expected all day on trains operating from London Waterloo to Reading due to a signal failure.
National Rail said: “A fault with the signalling system at London Waterloo means all lines are currently disrupted. As a result, trains operating to / from this station may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.
“Major disruption is expected until the end of the day.”
They also confirmed that services in and out of the station will be subject to platform changes and major service altercation and urge passengers to check before boarding their service for platform changes.
They also advised that to assist with journeys that tickets can be used at no extra cost on CrossCountry services between Reading and Bournemouth, Basingstoke and Reading, and Guildford and Reading.
The disruptions will also affect the South Western Railway line between London Waterloo and Reading with trains that pass through Bracknell and Wokingham.
