A man has been arrested after a crash near Wokingham has left a motorcyclist with life threatening injuries.
The incident took place at around 8:45pm last night (July 10th) where a Piaggio motorcycle was involved in a collision with three other vehicles, two Volkswagen Golfs and a Ford Mondeo.
The crash took place on the Loddon Bridge Road, near The George Pub. All vehicles stopped at the scene.
The motorcycle rider, a man in his twenties, suffered serious injuries and has been taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
A 23-year-old man from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of causing injury by dangerous driving and remains in police custody.
Sergeant Ed Crofts, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “This collision has occurred on a busy stretch of the Loddon Bridge Road yesterday evening.
“I am appealing to anybody who witnessed the collision, or who may have dash-cam, CCTV or mobile phone footage to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.
“I would be particularly keen to hear from anybody who witnessed the driving of one of the VW Golfs, which is black in colour, to please come forward.
“I believe this vehicle was driving from the A329 Wokingham Road direction down Loddon Bridge Road.
