A POLICE helicopter was called to an area of Finchampstead on Sunday evening and a man thought to have been armed has been arrested.

Around 6.20pm on Sunday, June 3, a heavy police presence was seen at the roundabout that connects Barkham Ride with Nashgrove Lane.

Eyewitnesses said there were a number of officers present at the time of the arrest.

There have been reports on social media that the police also used sniffer dogs to investigate gardens in the area.
