Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been charged in connection with an attempted robbery and other offences in Wokingham.
Jack Godfrey, aged 28, of Culloden Way, Wokingham, was charged on Monday (February 12) with two counts each of attempted robbery and assault by beating of an emergency worker, and one count of possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed object in a public place.
The charges relate to an incident outside of a supermarket in Woosehill at 5pm on the previous day.
Godfrey was arrested and remanded to custody on the same day.
He appeared before Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (February 13) where he was further remanded to custody.
He is due to appear at Reading Crown Court on 11 March.
