A FORMER student of a school in Sunningdale is set to release her second cookery book.
Martha Collison, who became the youngest ever contestant on the Great British Bake Off (GBBO) in 2014, will release the follow-up to her 2016 book Twist with her latest delicious offering – Crave.
Featuring sumptuous recipes using ingredients that we all often find ourselves craving (hence the title!) – citrus, fruit, nut, spice, chocolate, caramel and cheese – the former Charters School head girl takes our tastebuds on a journey from the satisfying to the simply divine.
The recipes are divided into three categories: ‘Instant’, those quick treats which can be rustled up in next to no time; ‘Soon’ which are recipes that are ready to snaffle in under an hour; and ‘Worth the Wait’, indulgences which require slightly more patience but a huge reward at the end.
Martha is a self-taught baker who started creating her own unique recipes when she was just eight.
She appeared on GBBO while studying for her AS Levels, and has gone on to enjoy incredible success with her weekly column in Waitrose Weekend magazine, as well as her first best-selling book, Twist.
Featuring recipes for dishes such as Lemon Cheesecake Pots, Chilli Chocolate Churros and Caramelised White Chocolate Cake, Crave features enough desserts to keep your sweet tooth satisfied for the foreseeable future.
Martha’s new book, Crave, is released on July 27 through HarperNonFiction, RRP £16.99.
