THE MET Office has issued a yellow alert, warning of potentially torrential downpours and thunderstorms across much of the south on Thursday, June 23.
It warns of possible flooding and travel disruptions due to heavy rainfall, expected between 10am-midnight on Thursday.
It also advises to expect a small chance of premises flooding, with a likelihood of travel delays due to difficult driving conditions.
The warning explains that thunderstorms are particularly likely in the afternoon through until the early evening, with up to 60mm expected in some places, accompanied by high winds.
Currently, the Met Office projections expect possible disruption across Berkshire, as well as in the east and east Midlands, London, across the south of England, and even east Wales.
